Personal Assistant - Full-time

About the Role:

Hours:

Full-time

This role will include:

Assisting day staff in preparing guests for bed, as required

Helping guests with problems of mobility and other physical disabilities (e.g. incontinence), helping with the use of disability aids and caring for the same, where appropriate

Receiving and acting upon instructions from Senior Care Staff regarding specific tasks to be carried out during the night

carrying out regular checks on guests throughout the night, according to intervals set by Senior Care Staff and with due regard to guests' individual wishes

Promptly answering all nurse alarm calls, assessing each situation and dealing with any guest who is seeking help. In cases of emergency to summon duty Senior Care Staff and if necessary to call the emergency GP and / or summon an ambulance

Assisting guests who need help or reassurance, providing light drinks or refreshments where required

Carrying out regular checks on the building, with particular reference to fire prevention and external security (all windows and external doors secured etc)

Assisting with laundry, using correct policies & procedures

Waking guests in the morning at their requested times, as appropriate. Assisting guests to rise, wash and dress, and proceed to the dining room

Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the Home with due regard to appropriate Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Regulations. Reporting all accidents to the Night Shift Person-in-Charge

Reading and writing reports, and participating in staff and guests' meetings as appropriate

Participating in training activities / course, as directed by senior staff

Helping care for guests who are terminally ill

Undertaking other duties, as necessary

Assisting setting up dining room and tidying the dining room after meals

Nurse Assistant - Part-time

Part-time. 9am - 2pm, 7 days per week

This role will include:

Answering calls and transfering to the relevant people
Liaising with all professionals
Assisting guests who need help or reassurance, providing light drinks or refreshments where required

Housekeeper - Full-time

About the Role:

Hours:

Full-time

This role will include:

Using a variety of manual and automated cleaning equipment to clean and sanitise all allocated areas to a very high standard

Thoroughly cleaning all allocated areas including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment

Collecting laundering and returning guest bedding, linen and clothing; assisting with repairs if required and advising senior staff promptly about damaged items

Reporting any malfunction of equipment or fittings that require maintenance or cannot be kept to standard through normal cleaning procedures

Showing utmost respect for guests’ privacy and the dignity of each guest’s personal possessions

Assisting setting up the dining rooms and tidy dining rooms after meal-times

Assisting with kitchen duties

Being aware of the Health and Safety statement and of C.O.S.H.H. statement and to implement policies of the company

Reading and writing reports and to participate in staff and guest meetings

Attending all mandatory training, and all other forms of training applicable to your role

Completing other reasonable duties as may be required.
